These days I am having a sort of relax times and reading Books. I read both Ad Vinci Code and Angels and Demons and these days I am reading Harry Potter series. Da Vinvi Code was an excellent book and of course it is controversial. But my understanding is that it does not insult Christ, instead even non-Christians start knowing about Christ. Howevver, I think Angels and Demons is a better book because it talks to almost all the religions and science. What do you think about the book. If you remember the Camerlengo's speech despite the behind story it gives a great meaning to the whole world. What do you think?

I have read and loved both books. But i do think Angels and demons was better. Also am i the only one that noticed how the main character changed in one book to the next. In one book he is shy and intimidated and in the other he is mr. go get'em.

In which book Robert is shy and in which he is go getter? What I understood is that Dan Brown hardly had kept any relationship between the two charachters even though he had used the same name. Anyway, I first read DVC and then A&D. A&D was his first adventure and his next book Robert will be the main charachter.

I can't remember in which book he was which, it has been awhile since i read them. I thought it was the same character in each book, i mean they have the same name and didn't they have the same job?

Of course the names were same and the jobs were same. But I did not see any reference to Robert in A&D in the DVC. That's why I thought there is no relationship.

I have read both the books that is Da Vinci Code and also Angels and daemons. I personally feel it would be very bad to compare the two books. I personally feel it would be an injustice to the author because I personally feel that the two stories are interrelated. Both masterpiece and the way of presenting the two stories of something which was out of the box. I have read a lot of novels and seriously I have seen very few well presented as these and also the tension which was built up in these stories were something which was remarkable. Once you start reading I'd personally felt that it is so hard to just stop reading because of anything you want to do. Generally I cannot read more than two hours at a stretch because my eyes starts to give me problems but there was something different in this book and that is the reason why I used to read more than four hours at a stretch and finished the book very early. This is one indication that the book is very good. It has the quality to keep the reader interested about the story and that is the reason why the author gets the acclamation that he has got to now.

I totally agree there is no way you can compare the two because the idea behind both them is different, they talk about two different aspects of faith and religion. I liked Angels and Demons because everyone is intrigued with the Illuminati and I was drawn in because of the branding. Whereas the Da Vinci Code took what was already controversey and wrote around it. I don't think he realized what a phenominon it would turn into. I like you cannot read for too long at a time, but I couldn't put either book down. I think Dan Brown has a unique writing style and that is what the focus should be on, not comparing the two books.

I agree that the two books cannot be compared. But I think DVC has dominated because of the controversial nature of it. But the message which is given by A&D impressed me a lot. If you can remeber that speech, it gives a good message who compare and contrast science & religion. Yep, when you start reading the first page of both books you won't feel like giving it up until the last page. The books were absolutely atractive. The other interesting thing is even though it is fiction you don't feel like it really is a fiction. He has marvelously gone around the true facts to build up an excellent fiction.

angels and demons -- a book worth read.... the way it has helped built a new vision on the conflict in science and religion and the way fiction and facts have been presented mixed so well that many times u actually start dreaming about things..... I wasnt surprised to find the vatican city in my dreams after reading the novel... and the dramatic extent of the end is just worth praise actually...

Well for one, I haven't had that relax time you just have now, but I do hope that I will have that pretty soon. And I do believe that I will; because the company I'm working with for more than three years now is experiencing a financial crisis and is planning to close shop until the end of this year. I don't plan to be jobless after this, but my husband and I decided that one of us will be working abroad in order for us to pay-off all existing monetary obligations. After this, hopefully we'll be able to save up for our own house and lot. We're presently renting a house here in the city. Also, put up a small family business for our daughter to inherit in the future, and save up for our daughter's future education. She's turning three next month and honestly, we've got no savings to spare for the occasion. Anyway, I've heard of these books previously but unfortunately, I still don't have a copy of these books but I'm intending to purchase my own copies when our cash flows get better. They're already included in my things-to-buy list; aside from the DVD copies of these movies with same titles.

Apart from the main subject. The life is like that. Up and downs. My previous working place did not give me any chance of doing anything extra. It was a very busy place. My next job after this may be different. Future in this job may also be different. I haven't watch the movie. But I recommend you to read the book first. Usually the film of book is not as exciting as the origin.

Both Excellent bookx! i love them both. In the Da Vinci Code i think chirst is jst portrayed as a normal human being who in that time they had a partner or else it would be considered out of the norm. good stuf. and in angels & demons well yeah again a REALLY good book, combines religion and sci. Who can go wrong with thaT?!
