if a girl from a poor family is married to a man from a rich family, or a man from a poor family is married to a girl from a rich family, can the new couple live a happy life? would you marry a person of quite different status both social and finicial from yours?

Why not? Money has little role to play in an intimate relationship. When there is an understanding of two-minds, money can not be a barrier, or can not come in the way of developing a happily married life.
