How Do You Put Your Baby To Sleep?

Do You Rock him/her? Do You Sing to them? When my baby was just a month old til maybe two, I carry him and rock him to sleep while singing a lullaby. But when he turned three months and weighed like a 9 month old baby, I just put him on the bed and tap and sing to him still. He was so heavy, I could feel my arms aching. Besides, some say that babies are not to be carried always or most of the time...

My baby loves story telling with some singing too. I never got the chance to put her to sleep carrying nor rocking her. She really prefers to hear someone singing even just a simple melody will be good for her.

My newborn is 21 days old now. I carry him to sleep and hum a lullaby. He is so used to it now that he can hardly sleep if I put him in his bed. He will cry. Once I lift him up from bed, he will stop crying and sometimes giving you a smile. =) But I also worried that it become a habit, it is a bit tiring to carrying him until he has fallen a sleep especially when I am sleepy at night. 9kg, should be not easy to carry until sleep. I think by the time my newborn is 3 months, the most he gain would be 4kg-5kg. You really got a giant bb there. :)
