Why do people judge you one your apperance?

I find that people tend to judge other based on appearance because at first, that is all there is to go on. When you first meet someone, you don't know if they are nice or mean, smart or ignorant. The best thing to do is to let people get to know you. If you aren't a bad person, then chances are, you will be liked regardless of weight or personal appearance (as long as the appearance isn't offensive, like smell or whatnot). If that is not the case. If you do give someone a chance to know you and they are still judging based on appearances, then chances are, that person is not the kind of person that you should even want to be around. That kind of small mindedness is something you should avoid (if at all possible). Anyone who you really care about, or cares about you, will hopefully accept you for who and what you are. If you are happy about your body, it shouldn't matter what others think. If there is something you would like to change, and it is within your ability to do so, you should work hard and do it. It sounds like you are in good shape and health on the inside. Just try not to worry about it and hang out with more positive people.

Unfortunatly there are alot of really shallow people in this world who base their opinions on what they see on the outside not on the inside. If they would take the time to get to know people the world would be a better place.

do people still are like that? oh maybe teens mostly do that. if you are matured enough people do not judge anymore by the appearance they more look in the inner beauty. beauty is not only seen by the eyes it is also felt by the heart. if you are goodlooking but stupid then i dont think someone will appreciate you. people are wiser now they dont just go for just good looks
