the place where i stay we have a big problem of rats, and one has to be very imaginative to catch them, hey spoil whatever food item that is kept in containers, to the extent the rats bite through plastic containers, - i have so far used a rat trap, rat kill poison, and rat paste, but i find the rat trap box more helpful

If you go to Home Depot, they have a section on it. We could not use poison as we have dogs, and I was staying with my brother at the time and he has two toddlers, so we couldn't get a trap, either. There is actually a small box or cage looking like item that you could put peanutt butter in (they love it) and once you trap 'em, just take them out into the woods or somewhere away from your house. Other than that, if you don't care about being humane, just buy a snap trap. It kills them pretty fast, but also put peanut butter on there, too, because cheese or a loose object can be taken off without setting off the trap!

I don't catch rat myself and have no plans either but who does the job for catching is our pet cat. Yes the cat, she get rid of all the rats at home and it really works coz there is no messing rat around the house anymore. I haven't really tried those mouse trap or any other thing that catch rat coz you know rat are smart they will know about it and some people said that if they know that you are trying to kill them they will more mess up so it's better if the cat do the job.

in the groceries here there are fly papers, and those are a size of a whole type writting paper and it is sticky. i use that to catch rat. i put a small piece of cheese in the middle to attract the rat by the smell of the cheese. i dont buy rat trap box for i have a two year old son and i dont want him touching the box. the fly paper i place it under or places he would find like under the fridge or stove.
