ok im sitting here and me and my little one melly are talking about diff aussie words things like when she is on the phn and she is msgn away, i read a msg and for the life of me i had no idea as to what it meant well i picked up a few words, so what im asking is can you tell me things your kids shorten on their mobile phns.. lol i just want to see how many diff things they cut down and what they mean...
please help

Some times I know what he's messages are. Sometime I have no clue. It's like the speak a different language. To much slang. I do know most of it but some of the words I am clueless!1 person likes this

hi sweetie,
its crazy isnt it, i guess we just have to try and guess what they are on about i tell her to msg me in english not kids laugage when ever she msgs me because i will not know what she is saying lol 99 % of the time she calls instead of msgn..

Hi shelly. You're pretty good at shortening things yourself. We actually try to write correct English here as this is a site where there are many members whose first language is not English. So, writing the language correctly is a big help to these members. It also sets a good example for those who also write text or chat speak. It's frowned upon. Also, the guidelines say "English only please." Also, some members won't respond to you if you use a lot of abbreviations as you have done....normally, I'm one of these people ...I just thought I'd let you know. Cheers!
