This is one of my mom's favorite shows. I've seen it once or twice with her. She'd rather watch it when it is on television than any other program, but usually she'll just let my dad watch whatever he wants to if he is home. I guess it goes along with your other discussion. He doesn't want to watch history shows, unless she makes him!

My hubby watches this as he loves history. I was first attracted to it because of the theme song. I love Elvis Costello and the song watching the detectives. It is a really interesting show, I am glad my hubby watches it or I would never have seen it and missed out on a good show!

It's fairly interesting. I saw just one episode, where a guy was trying to figure out the origins of his 20s-era toy, a suspiciously-Disney looking toy mouse with the name "Micky" painted on its front, pre-Disney-Mickey. In other words, he wondered if Walt Disney plagiarized the idea.
It turned out to be a yes-and-no thing, that cartoon mice were *everywhere* in the 1920s, and Disney's Mickey was the one who lasted. As for the toy "Micky", Micky was a common name for toy mice back then. Weird.
