Another oil price increase in my country. Can't anyone put a stop to it?

Hi everyone! Geez guys.. The continuous oil price hike has really affected my fellowmen in our country. People are now mad. Students have started to revolt today because some students have stopped going to school already mostly from poor families cause' they can't afford anymore to get a ride to school. Fares has been going up whenever gas price increases and it has been increasing every week. Even the middle and upper class families has been trying to cut cost gas consumption by seldom using their cars. Everybody is really trying hard to survive now. But theres a funny side to whats happening today because of the oil price hike. Before in my country when families has a lot of cars they are considered rich but now, when families have lots of cars, they will turn poor. (Just something to make us forget about problems). Is this happening in other countries also? How about in your country friend. How is the oil price doing? Any comment is welcome.
