You can use a UPS - Uninterruptable Power Supply. It's a back-up power in case of power outage or fluctuation. It's got batteries inside. Instead of plugging your PC/monitor directly to the wall outlet, you plug it into the UPS and then you plug the UPS to the wall outlet. When there is black out, the computer automatically gets power from the UPS. UPSs vary in how long they can back-up the power. Some can back-up around 15 minutes some 30. The price depends on the brand and most importantly on how long it will be able to back-up the power. We here in the office just want power back-up enough to turn off our computers properly...so what we need is just the less expensive 15-minute UPS.
