random questions

if you were in england and you dug a hole all the way through the earth to australia and then jump in would you get thrown backwards when you got half way because of gravity!?

You would not be able to jump in...either you got cooked at the core or the gravity generated kept you there.

haha that is probably very true! you guys have really thought about this, these are just random thoughts that i have, i didn't think anyone would seriously try to answer them!! it's great!

No. The earth's gravity originates from the earth's core. You would be pulled to the earth's core and stop.
