Cats are cute but i would prefer keeping a pet dog as dogs are more loyal and more affectionate.More over you can train dogs but it is difficult to train cats. What is your preference- a pet dog or a cat?

I like dogs and I find them so awesome to embrace and hug with. Dogs look so sweet and they never fail to make you laugh and giggle. With cats, I find them cute as well. It's just that I am more attached to dogs since I was a kid.

For me I love dogs. It is nearly impossible to manage cats in our locality. They often tend to roam free in the neighborhood causing embarrassing situations for all of us. Otherwise, cats are great and I do not have complaint against them at all. It is just because of the locality where I live in that I can't keep them. But dogs are much more obedient and they will not go out without your permission. So for the present I would prefer dogs to cats.

I hope your locality becomes a little more adjusting so that you can keep both, a dog and a cat.

well i have three cats at home. guess that answers your question pretty well right? i love cats because they are loyal and affectionate. although my cats live with my family, they are all loyal to me. they can be sleeping when i reach home and they'll all come to the door to greet me. they will come only when i call. my girl sleeps only with me. it's really a misconception that cats are cold and aloof. as for training, i believe cats can be trained as well. i didn't try to train my cats but they can be taught tricks with incentives. my longhair boy can walk on his hind legs if there is food. cheers ;p

This is a difficult choice to make. I love domestic cats, and I love domestic dogs. They both have their "pros and cons" to owning them. Generally, dogs tend to stay closer to people, while cats tend to behave independently. There are some dogs that act independent, and some cats that wouldn't mind staying in their human's lap all day long, but I am just going by a generalization. I'd like to have both cats and dogs, but if I had to pick one, I would probably get a cat. Cats are nice to have around the house. However, if I am at work, I play with the dogs all day.

I have and love both but if I had to choose I would pick my dog. My Dog follows me every where around the house refuses to leave me ungaurded when I'm at home. When I come home after a long day at work or out on the town he greets me before I even get in the door! My cat on the other hand waits until I get settled and begs me to feed her and after she's eaten, she refuses to leave me alone needing constant attention and petting. Cheers, Tianna

I like both of them but i prefer more on dogs.I never have a pet cat but i have dogs several times.I treated them as my children and yes they are very loyal and better than a human being to be a friend.

I used to keep cats but when the cat tried to attacked me, I shifted to dogs. They're loyal.

Good that you are keeping dogs, but if someday even a dog attacks you then what? Just kidding. Am sure your dog must be very loyal and affectionate towards you.
