This skull throbber called tension headache is characterized by pressure that starts in the back of the head and radiates forward. STRESS that makes you inadvertently clench that muscles in your neck and shoulders, resulting in head pain. Over the counter meds will ease the pain, and relaxing the muscles in your neck and shoulders can prevent it from coming on. But unless you deal with your underlying stress, the headache may return again.
