We moved to the upper peninsula 28 years ago; and, I can't believe how many people here choose the Packers over the Lions. I always ask them why they don't follow their own state's team. It amazes me too how many people up here seem to believe they are Cheeseheads. *sighs* We're not in Wisconsin, people.
I'm actually not from Michigan at all originally, but my husband is from around Cadillac and is a diehard Lions fan, and I grew up in Kentucky, so I didn't really have a team. And after watching with my hubby and learning about the players and the team's history, I've definitely become a real Lions fan myself, not just one by proxy.
