Neighborhood gathering

Last night we attended a memorial party at the same time neighborhood gathering in a certain village.We don't live there but my hubby have properties which he have for business.I was really touch because they gathered together for a person who they knew was very kind and had helped alot in their neighborhood and she was also my hubby's friend.Some were given a chance to speak about her and so sad to see them in tears.She left alot of memories for her neighbors.Have you ever attended a memorial party?And how was it?

That sounds like a very touching event. The only memorial parties I hae ever atteded were for relatives who had passed on. We are ot very public about that sort of thing in my family, and hat is OK with me. I know that people mean well, but we like to keep things in the family.
