My TV Just Kicked the Bucket

More than once. Just up and died. One minute the news was on the next it was like someone just turned it off.
What is sad is that they weren't that old.
We were given a couple old tvs and they are still working, we just couldn't hook anything up to them so when we got a ps2 and an xbox 360 we had to get new tvs.
They were so old those tvs. One belonged to my husbands grandparents, the other to his great-grandparents. And they still worked great. We could run the dish receiver through them just not video game systems.
I wish the new ones lasted that long.
Since our newer tvs died so soon we just went and paid more and got Sony tvs. The one in the living room has outlasted the other ones we had bought by several years.

Yes, it has happened to me more than once! Is there a freecycle group near you? Televisions are one of the most common things given away! Go to freecycle.org and out in your zipcode. I do hate that electric burning smell! Did you unplug it yet?
