have you tried purchasing something from TV home shopping?

whenever i watch tv and browse through every channel available and encounter one of those show where they sell products, i can't help but watch. i want to purchase one of those knives that was adverstised and sold around 50$. based from what i saw, it never dulls and rusts and you can use it for a life time. very precise cutting. the way you wanted on a knife. very interesting. i'm into cooking so i really want to purchase one of those. but is it really worth it? have you tried purchasing something on tv(no need to be particular with knives) and really use it the way it was adverstised and shown on tv? do they really lived up to their promises? please share your thoughts and if possible your experiences. thanks. happy mylotting.:)
