Do you think Hip Hop is dead? |

Do you think hip hop is dead? I feel that it is because the great hip hop music that was being put out isnt being put out anymore. In my opinion, There are only several artists that are trying to keep hip hop alive. What do you guys think?

There are plenty one hit wonders out right now that I dont consider real rappers. Some of the artists that I feel are delivering to the hip hop game continuously right now are people like: G-unit, Jay-z, kanye west, Young jeezy, T.I., Lil wayne, Rick Ross, Ludacris, T-Pain, Fabolous, and a couple more.

If you feel he lost his image because of his collaborations, he said that his new album before/self-destruct will have no features on it. Its probably dropping by the end of this year, and its most definately going to sound hot!

4. blahbag (26) | 1 year ago | To me hip-hop and rap are now offically dead. When the music no longer has meaning whats the point in calling it music it all? some people argue it does have meaning... to those people i ask what value does it really hold? Very few artists actually bring what rap and hip-hop need nowadays. I see children being over taken by this new form of the music, and to be honest its just plain stupid, and its hardly even a style or art anymore. Most of it is pointless, stupid, stolen lyrics, or about 20 words repeated during the whole song. All they sing about is "hoes". That's the value people are being taught through this music. the value of "hoes". i Went back to oldschool and underground music, which aint hard to find cause i live in NYC. Look up immortal technique..

| 6. superstr (12) | 1 year ago | i dont thinnk that hip hop hop is dead but however, i don't feel that hip hop is in the same state as it used to be,back in the days hip hop represented the voice of the people, when rapers talked about what was going on in society such as crime drugs and the struggle and oppression people faced and things like that. but now the only thing certain rappers talk about is how much jewelry they got on and how big their rims and houses are, not to mention how every rapper comes out with their new type of dance.
