I don't think this is what they intended.

I haven't seen the Taco Bell commercial yet (I go to Del Taco anyway - far superior), but I have seen the Vonage one. I agree, it is annoying, but their service is fabulous and the quality is marvelous. Calling anywhere in the U.S., Canada, U.K., France, and several other European countries is free. Other countries in the world are ridiculously cheap (I call a good friend in Moscow for 4-cents a minute - 1R). I can take the device with me when traveling and plug it into any high-speed Internet connection and I have my home telephone number, anywhere in the world.

There are a couple of commercials that have annoyed me so badly that I will never buy the product again.

The worst offender was the old Grape Nuts commercial. I loved Grape Nuts and have bought them my whole life but somehow somebody in their advertising department thought that 15 seconds of loud crunching sounds would be appealing to people. Frankly it was nauseating to me. Every time the commercial came on I'd have to turn the channel or hit the mute button. Now the thought of eating Grape Nuts just makes me sick to my stomach. They lost a customer.

I really wish that advertisers would try to understand that making commercials that are totally annoying may get people to remember the name of the product but NOT in a good way! They will remember to never buy it again because it's annoying and makes them angry.

I think that is extremely SEXIST. This promotes negative gender STEREOTYPES, and because of this commercial I am boycotig their products. All of my Feminist friends are doing the same.

While I can't think of any offhand at the moment, I have most definitely had this experience. One I do remember was years ago there was a certain Yoplait yogurt commercial. Now I had nothing against the commercial at all, the problem was it was a saturation campaign where they ran this same ad literally two or three times during every single commercial during a certain TV show, five days a week (Monday through Friday show.) I grew to detest this so much, the fact that they would DO this, that I decided I would NEVER buy Yoplait yogurt.

There hasn't been a commercial that I didn't like, most of the are really funny to me. The Geico commercial use to be the caveman, til the Gecko beat him out. The Vonage is cool but most people are not going to change there service unless the know someone that has it and it works. The way the commercial say that it does. Something that I have been wondering though. Those excercise commercials do people really buy those products? If they do, does it really work for them or not. I don't know anyone that has tried them before. Some commercials are good but then there are times that they do get a little carried away.

You have just hit on my pet hate subject, I hate adverts on t.v. I usually turn the mute button and do something else till the programme on and there is so much noise for each adverts I can't stand it.

Many of the drug ones....when they list the side effects I'd rather die then involuntarly do in my britches! there is another one that I just want to reach in the tv and punch their lights out....but I can't think of it right now.....I must have blocked the product out of my mind for I can't for the life of me remember what it is....but when I see it I often think I should start a discussion about how dumb it is!

Another one I just thought of that I can't stand - the guy with the talking shirt. I don't even know what the product is, some laundry detergent or fabric softener I assume. But it's annoying as heck when that shirt and the guy are talking at the same time. It's also just stupid.

Right now the only one that comes to mind is the Herbal shampoo, dont remember the whole name.. hmmm maybe cause I refuse to buy it. I really hated watching them and Im not a prude or anything but making it sound like these women are getting off on using it just turned me right off.

I am sure every community has one of these... A cheesy local used car salesman (or two) trying their best to convince you that they are honest and going to cut you a great deal.
