Is Obama a citizen?

The Swift Boat Vets are crawling out from under their rock. This was a lie they started promoting about a month ago. That and also saying that he's Muslim...which he has never has been.

Just goes back to his heritage and having lived outside the country. He is a citizen, unless somebody can proof that he was not born here or has changed citizenship somewhere along the line. If that would be the case, he would have been eliminated from the race. You have to be born a US citizen in order to run for president. Naturalization is not enough. Arnold Schwarzenegger, for example, although now a citizen, cannot run for president, as he was born in Austria and used to be an Austrian citizen. That said, he may have a dual citizenship or right to one for the country his father is from. I have not looked into that, but it may be a possibility. My kids have dual citizenship, American by birth (as it is the American law, but their dad is American, too) and German through me, their mother (only one parent has to be German to automatically bestow citizenship). I have always wondered, if dual citizens could run for president....

This question has been tossed around for a while now. Supposedly, he cannot be a citizen because of having been born, not in Hawaii, but because his biological father was not a U.S. citizen. Anyone born in this country, except for the children of diplomats, is a citizen automatically, by birth. Many would like to change that law, but it is a law, and was at the time of Obama’s birth. I don't know where that information came from. In order to run for President, the person must be an American citizen. There are papers and documents that have to be filed before the person can start campaigning. Also, They can not raise money until the papers are filed. There are safeguards put in place to protect the country and the citizens of the country.

You saw this on TV? I know it's been circulating online and on myLot for a few weeks now but I hadn't heard of it being on TV until now. Where did you see it, if you remember? I say that because I flip through the channels a lot and sometimes don't remember where I saw something...lol! Seriously, Raydene, while I know there are some here who will say I'm wrong, I can't for the life of me imagine someone being elected to the U.S. Senate and getting security clearances to travel abroad to very sensitive areas and running a campaign to be President for this long without proving to somebody that he's a U.S. citizen. With all of the people around trying to destroy him, can you possibly believe this wouldn't have been proven and he wouldn't have been kicked not only out of the residential race but out of the Senate by now if this were true? Here's the series of events, as depicted by the rumor mongers/anti-Obama crowd: Obama's mother, who was very young when he was born, gave birth to him in Kenya and immediately got on a plane to Hawaii and entered a hospital there and claimed to have had him there. I'm not sure how she supposedly pulled that off! This very young mother who from all reports had not been involved in politics then started to "groom" her infant son to be President, which is why she made it a point to say he was born in Hawaii. As I said above, Obama has been "groomed" to be U.S. President since he was born and to destroy our nation from within. The "proof" of this is that he told his kindergarten teacher that he wanted to be President when he grew up. Now, here's something that's a bit off-topic, but not really. Please, take this as a very serious warning! My grandson, now 13, told everyone who would listen when he was about 2 1/2 that when HE grows up he wants to be the President of the United States...(or a race car driver or a garbage man)! Therefore, if Obama doesn't win or if he wins and doesn't succeed in "destroying our nation from within" my grandson will be ready to step in to try again in approximately 22 years. Look out because in 2024 we're all in for a big surprise! His childhood nickname was "Bug" so take from that whatever you wish! Annie

I'm sure he's a citizen if he's able to run for president. If not, they would have shut him down as soon as they proed it. I think this i just another pellet from he Propaganda machie started y his opponants, in order to win. I suggest the opponants work on boosting themselves, rather than putting him down. If all they can do is put him down, it doesn't say ery much abou them.
