did you tried designing your own house.?

I'm not really good in house designs, although I always find myself thinking of my dream house, and much more of watching house design shows and programs on TV. I want it to be colorful and with modern designs, though not to over crowded with interiors and some stuff. I want it to be more elegant yet not so sophisticated. I want my kitchen to have a complete set of kitchenwares and materials so I can cook anytime I want and a place where I can unwind. I want my children to enjoy the wide areas of our lawn, while me and my future hubby can plant some fruit trees.

Along with our many dreams, I've already told my husband several times before that I'd like to design our conjugal house myself. To this he immediately agreed. But unfortunately up to this day, after being married for more than five years now, we still haven't got the funds to have our own house. We're still renting until now. If given the choice and required capital, we'd like to have our own house and stay or live in it; me, my husband, our daughter, and our future child or children. Apart from your own view of your house, I'd like to have a three-storey house with three bedrooms. No offense meant to anybody else here. First floor would include the dining room, kitchen, a toilet and bath, and living room. Second floor would have three bedrooms: master's bedroom for me and my husband, another room for our daughter and her future sibling/s, and another room for our househelp. Third floor would be the laundry area which is going to have no roof at all. This way, it could also be used during parties or small get-togethers. Like you, I also love gardening and prefers to have a lot of fruit-bearing trees and vegetables in the yard for personal consumption and if need arises and volume increases, to be sold to other people. I haven't checked if all of these personal designs of mine are in accordance with feng shui as I do believe in this.
