How to Take High Quality Photos that I can sell Online?

I think you should try to take some as unique snaps as possible. The more unique your snaps are the more they will be viewed and downloaded. More downloads result in more earnings.

Also, you should put the snaps in the correct category while submitting to a site. So that they are listed better in search results.

The first suggestion I have, is to make sure you look at each sites FAQ section. Many of these sites wont accept pictures with a resolution (how big your picture is at 100% size when you transfer it to the computer) lower than a certain size, which usually means the pictures must come from DSLR (digital single lens reflex) cameras. These are super expensive however, so I'm not sure if it's ALL they will accept; every site is different so be sure to have a look! I have seen pictures that I personally don't think we're sell-worthy but still made it onto the site; i'm not sure what that means, whether they accept anything as long as it's resolution meets their requirements or if some things slip through the cracks, I think most of them will only accept DSLR quality but it certainly doesn't hurt to try! Check their FAQs before anything, though:]

All right, as for quality, here are a few tips!:

If you're taking a picture of a single item (say, a bowl of fruit), make sure that the background is solid. Meaning, don't take a picture of the bowl of fruit when it's in front of your pile of bills, car keys and cookie jar LOL. Allow people to have as blank of a canvas as possible; if they use your picture, chances are they already have a background in mind and it's harder to edit out a bunch of stuff in the background!

Use the flash as a last resort! Pictures that use flash are rarely ever used; rely on your camera's settings and manual lighting as much as possible. The flash creates harsh lighting and blurring much of the time, as well as glare if there are any shiny objects around.

The #1 reason photos get rejected from sites like Shutterstock and iStock is because of noise. If you want to sell your photo as stock, it can't have any noise in it what so ever. So always shoot at the lowest ISO possible. Make sure your photo is correctly exposed. And if necessary, run your photo through some noise-reduction software!

Also, photos with bright, vibrant colors get accepted the most! Make sure your photo doesn't have dull, flat colors. Increase the saturation if necessary.

Lighting is another common reason photos get rejected. Your photo should not have any harsh shadows or hot spots!

The best thing you can do is look at the types of images that get approved. Study them and learn what types of content, lighting, composition, etc. gets approved!

HI I have submitted 13 images to a site for approval but only one was accepted do you imagine the cause? poor lighting and composition since I was new I submitted

i think that the best advice to you my friend is to focus on strange sights this unique one that smashing others at the first sight this what you really need to shot don't waste your time with normal views or sights unless it gives something new you didn't feel it before . you have to join many exhibitions you have to get a lot of knowledge in this career this business and it really need to give it a lot of your time i believe that you could make a lot of money with this career good luck my friend with this new field and let me always telling you my opinion on your new shots you could send me the links to for it to download it c u latter
