Shorts or trousers?

Ok so the summer has finally arrived in the UK (well for a couple of days LOL) and I got my hubby to buy me some shorts and today i actually wore them, the problem is I can't rememberhe last time I wore shorts in public in the UK and it felt so strange, my hubby was mocking me and so was his father and I felt like going and changing, but it was so hot and I didn't want to wear trousers or a skirt and my 3/4 trousers were on the line drying so I stuck to my guns and kept my shorts on. It still feels strange even now to be wearing them after 11 hours of having them on! It was even weirder when I went out this morning into town with them on I was very self concious! So what do you wear when you are really hot shorts, trousers, skirt what? Has this happened to anyone else?

I am in the UK too, its great ah? a bit of summer at last yey!! I would never wear shorts, never, too many stretch marks, and yukky legs LOL.
I love to wear capris or 3/4 length jeans they cover all the right bits and they are nice and comfy! The only time I wear a skirt is when I go out, don't know why as I have loads of nice skirts but I feel self conscious if I wear them in the day.

The weather is fab at the mo! Its strange isn't it how you feel self conscious wearing certain things in the day time when going out, if I'm at home all day I don't care as noone will see me except my hubby, son, dog and cats LOL!!! Enjoy the sun.
