My uncle who was a persistent drinkers for most of his life has aged like 20-years. Although he's in his 60s, he looks in worse shape than many people in their 80s. But then again, I think anything can be bad for you if you over do it. My uncle drank vodka on a weekly basis, so unsurprisingly his body has given up. However, I think if you know how to drink, you can minimise the damage to your health and you can reap the benefits of having a social drink from time to time. I think the trick with alcohol is making it last and being able to know when to stop. For me, I used to get drunk quite regularly when I was a student. We would drink vodka in large quantities and I would get sick the next day. Now, I drink on occasions, which allows the body time to detoxify. However, when you drink heavily everyday, your body cannot manage and so you poison yourself. However, once I started working, I have cut down on my alcohol intake. Drinking is an expensive habit. Once in a while I have a few beers and may be a bit of wine. I try to drink beer and wine rather than spirits because the level of alcohol is allot lower and does burn the insides. The other thing is, you can sweat out the beer, because beer is mostly water. However, you can't do it with hard alcohol. Anyway, if you drink lower alcohol drinks and do it less often, you can avoid doing too much damage to your body.

3. MichaelJay (734) | 3 months ago | Drinking to excess, like all bad habits is bad for the halth and the soul. It can make you do thinmgs you would not dream of doing if you were sober. However, I believe it is a matter of elf-control. Thjere is much evidence to suggest that takn in moderation, wine (specially red wine) has some health benefits. If a glass of wine helps you relax after a stressful day that's fine. If you drink the whole bottle yourself, that's bad.

Many studies show that it is really dangerous to our health... much take of it will destroy internal organs of our body so the younger you take it the earlier you will get decease. Here in my country that's one of the main cause of death mostly male. So I am suggesting you that you drink moderately. As possible as it can, drink healthy beverages especially water.

Being drunk is a result of this toxin. It does absolutely nothing positive for you whatsoever. Nonetheless, it can still be very fun, but as the late, great, Bill Hicks said: "There are better drugs, and better drugs for you. That's a fact."

I don't think it's a good things that your friends forced you to drink if you don't want to. I do drink with my friends and I love it; I always have a great time but if you don't want to, then don't!
