It's time to be a guinea pig

Well, I went to the doctor yesterday as a follow-up from my hospital visit on Sunday. I still am having a hard time breathing and the doctor has no more clue than the one at the hospital. We're going to try a few different things until we find something that works. She gave me an inhaler that has steroids (YUCK!) in it to maybe loosen up my brohchial tubes. So far, it's not doing anything, but I've got another appointment with her next week to see how it's going. I hope this will kick in soon!

reiny the inhalers with steriods in them takes a while to work I hope the doctor explained that to you. It takes a while for the steriods to work. Inhalers with steriods are not considered as a rescue inhaler, like the ones you take when you are having an asthma attack. Good luck I hope they find out what is wrong soon.

Oh, I know about the steriod ones. It's funny because my husband just though inhaler meant I could breathe right away. I started it Wednesday morning and he figured it wasn't working because I was still having problems Wednesday night. I had to tell him that it takes a few days for the steroids to get into my system. Well, here it is Saturday and still not a whole lot better... I have a follow-up on Wednesday to see how it's working (or not).

I'm feeling much better today - not much problems at all. I'm going to see how the rest of the week goes and see what my doctor wants me to do on Wednesday. If this happens again when I go away in 2 weeks I'm going to have to do something else, check with a specialist.

Hey reinydawn! I've just gone through a round with docs too. Not my idea of fun, so I can sympathize. Let's just hope things turn out ok for you. And I can't help but wonder if the steroids will increase bra size? LOL

I'm not a big fan of steriods so hopefully if this does work it wont be permanant. And believe it or not, I'm trying to get my bra size down a bit... I've gained a ton of weight over the last 2 years and I'd like to lose it. The first thing that will go is my bra size (which is fine if the other sizes go down to!).
