Music Marketing/Promotion Ideas Needed

So, I wasn't sure what interest to put this in, but since it's about marketing/promotion I went with making money. Anyway, several years ago I released a cd. It is complete independent, no major or indie label. Just my own label. But the thing is, I don't know much about marketing and promotion. I mean, I know the basics, but when it comes to selling my own cd.. I'll admit, I'm not very good with selling. I have had some sales here and there, but nothing substatial. I have a myspace and on there I have banners and information on where my cd/digital downloads can be purchased. Now, everyone who has listened to and/or bought my cd really liked it, so I have no doubts about its quality. My cd is kinda country/pop, but it seems to appeal to a lot of different people, because I've had a lot of people say that they don't listen to country music, but they really like my cd. So I am pretty sure that my audience could span quite a wide range of ages and musical tastes. So basically I am asking for ideas, and strategies that you have for getting the word out. Right now I am mainly looking to market it online, because it's the most convenient, but if you know about getting music to radio stations and other important connections that would be great as well. I thought maybe a lot of people here would know about promotions because of making money online and all. Thank you in advance for any help or guidance you can give me. It will be much appreciated!
