is a rechargeable shaver a good birthday gift?

i got this rechargeable shaver with built-in side burn trimmer and built-in charging indicator for my husband as my birthday gift to him come august 1. i am not sure i got the best gift though.honestly,i am not quite familiar with this shaving thing.i just thought,since he broke 2 of his battery operated shaves and had to settle with the gillete(?) manual shavers.he might appreciate this. At first I thought of getting him another one of those favorite brand of shirts,or a belt or a wallet perhaps.but i settled for the shaver thinking,he just broke his and will get one anyway. usually on his birthday and father's day he asks that we just stay in the house.that is how he wants to spend these 2 special days as his work requires him to travel a lot.he gets too tired of traveling a lot that he asks for a quiet,stressful special day. i just hope i got a good birthday gift...
