Just recently my brother and I had to put our dog "Chavo" (translated means something like "Boy") to sleep. He was a little old and somewhat deteriorated. This weekend we were leaving early to visit some relatives but I saw that he pretty much already gave up on eating and everything, there was not much to do and a very critical decision was to be made, we did not wanted our puppy to suffer any more. I'm already over 30 and my brother almost as well, but needless to say we cried like 5 year olds. Would you like to share your own story? You should know exactly how we felt.

It is the hardest thing in the world to do, i know what your feeling. 2 Months ago we had to put down are lady. She was a border collie. when i held and had to say goodby i bald my eyes out . They ask if i want to be in the room with her when they gave her the shot. i couldnt it was just to hard. She was 14 years old, she stoped eating and had a tummor in her stomach they said she was suffering. I really did not want to let her go, but i knew it was better for her . I miss her like crazy. I am so sorry you had to put your dog down , my thoughts are with you

Hi michelled, She along with "Chavo" should be in dog Heaven right now. I know you'll remember her for all the good things she brought to your life and others as well. To be honest even now I find it hard to get another dog because I get to attached to them and have to go through all of this again, I rather not, I think i would prefer a cat instead. Of course never can the memories be replaced, but life continues with it's course, right?
