Which do you enjoy most, a horror film or a sad love story?

I very jumpy and maybe a coward sometimes, that I don't enjoy watching horror movies. When I was younger, I recalled I'm a sucker for those films. As I get older, I don't know, I tend to avoid watching such as I don't think I'll still be enjoying it. If I have to choose what to watch between those a scary movie and a sad love story, I think I'll rather settle with watching a sad love story then. Maybe, I'll have a good cry which is quite good, because I rarely cry nowadays. Maybe I've already been used to pretend that everything is alright that's why I don't feel like crying anymore.

My imagination always works overtime especially when I am all alone at night, so horror movies are a no-no, not even when my husband tries to drag me to the moviehouse. If he watches a DVD at home I go to the other room, or if I really have to sit next to him (like I'm wanting a cuddle) I cover my eyes and ears so I won't see or hear what's going on. When I was a teenager I was hooked on comedies and hated love stories. But now as I grow older I find that I like love stories more and more, even the sad ones. Take care

i enjoy watching horror movies more than sad love stories. i don't like watching while crying because i am a very emotional person myself. i would never mind if the movie will give me sleepless nights due to my very active imagination. it would be better to get scared than have tears dropping down your cheeks. haha!

I don't like watching sad love story because it makes me sick and cry.. I don't want to be sad when I am watching movies.. So, I'd rather watch horror movies because it makes you really scream and I enjoyed watching horror movies even I'm alone.. It will really work my imaginations... It is really fun watching horror movies..

That's a nice explanation. Being scared sometimes is good for our hormone. Thanks for dropping by. :)

Thanks for the reply :)... Watching a sad love story can give you an opportunity to cuddle your gf because she might be weeping after the show. My boyfriend always does to me whenever I feel melodramatic.. lol :)

Well I am not much into horror movies so I would pick the sad love story i guess but these days i seem to like movies with happy endings, I like to come out of it on a high I guess...

I must agree with that.. it's always great to see a love story ends happily. Because that is something which happens rarely in real life.

I think I'd go with the sad love story. I'm not so fond of horror flicks. I hate the feeling of being surprised. At the end of the movie, I feel so stressed out. I remember seeing the 6th Sense and I really got the shivers. Specially at the end of the movie. I also watched the Japanese version of The Ring and I think I never brushed my teeth in front of the mirror for about 4 months and I've never kept the lights off completely ever since. I'd rather cry and cry over love stories. it's an outlet for me too to express my sentiments. LOL!

But I enjoy none of the two.....instead I like funny comedy's or thrillers. This sort of movies interests me.I don't enjoy getting scared or getting sad by watching a mere movie.

Dear Anne, I love horror movies, though if I have to watch one at night, I'd make sure my hubby is around. I'm not sentimental, so love stories are not really my cup of tea. I remember the last love story I went to, was the 'Titanic' - I had to accompany my sister. And through the whole movie, I was thinking 'Sink! Please sink!'

hahahh! but at lest you're able to sit for the entire duration of the film. Actually, I will have a very hyperactive imagination after watching horror movies, so i just avoid it all together. I can't tell my daughter, go to sleep because ghosts aren't real, when I am afraid of it myself... :)
