I need to do this as well, but the biggest and best way to "advertise" a PTC website is either through http://tinyurl.com/5srewx a website similar to this one. You get paid to click on links, and then you can use the "income" to purchase advertisements, and in the advertisements, you can link back to mylot or whatever PTC website you're using. Someone will sign up if it's a legit website.

The other example is to find a forums you have something in common with. Join a forums for music or whatever, and share with them, asking them to sign up under your referral, and offer them something in return. Advertisement for their website, whatever. I think it would be kinda cool to have a bunch of referrals, but I feel kinda awkward on mylot now. It seems sorta..dead.

There are many ways to build your downline for any programs. I use a variety of free methods. Firstly programs which were created to gain referrals such as getref and star refs. I have used getref more and have obtained several active referrals through this site.

Other methods are an adboard which lets you advertise 10 sites condensed on one page, five in the form of banners and five in the form of text ads. You then rotate this adboard on traffic exchanges and I have found it a good way to get sign ups.

Other alternatives are to advertise your referral link or banners on PTC sites or buy referrals from a PTC. I use some of my earnings from a site and reinvest them back in to the site and purchase some referrals. If you are lcuky many of these will be active and give you greater profits

I did try to build my downline when I was very new to the PTC industry by following the experiences of the more experienced people. However, I realised that its not worth it as I am using a lot of time just to try to get downlines.

So, usually what I do is join those referral exchange forums where you sign up for a program under another person, and they do so for you. That seems to work much better as you get to know new PTC programs and can earn money there too, as well as gain one active referral for your own PTC program!

Some of the websites that allows for purchase of unreferred members are my personal favourites, as I just need to come up with money as a form of investment in the purchase of these referrals.
