Randy Pausch, "The Last Lecture," Died |
|
I'm so sad to hear this. I have seen him lecture and be interviewed several times on the computer and on tv, and I recently read "The Last Lecture" book. He was such an amazing man. He had a fantastic attitude and outlook on life. When many others (probably most others) would have just gotten sad and depressed over a cancer diagnosis, he became really determined to leave behind a good message for his children, who are small enough to probably not remember a whole lot about him when they get older. He was only 47 years old, and had married a bit older in life, so his kids are very young. He was just an inspiring man and I am so sad for his family. I'm sad for myself and I never even met him.
Who else has seen the lecture or read his book? What are your thoughts?

2. mymelodake (901) | 1 year ago | I'm sorry I haven't seen his lecture or read his book, but i've read about him and I distinctly remember my mom telling me about him and why he wrote his book. It's sad to hear that he has passed on. but i'm happy for his kids because they had a great dad who really loved them and made sure that though he can no longer be with them, they won't miss out on what he wants them to know and learn.

tentwo67 (2451) | 1 year ago | I had his book around for a while before I did anything with it, but when I finally read it, I buzzed through it very quickly. It's a very enjoyable read. Thanks for responding!

| 4. Marsgirl74 (21) | 1 year ago | I just heard that he died while I was watching 20/20 tonight. I am very sad to hear that he has died. I have seen him on Oprah and came across him online. Randy was a very inspiring man, I don't think I could have the same out look on life as he did. My heart goes out to his family...
