Why people commit suicide?  |

 I'm really curious why there are some people decided to commit suicide?
I happen to have a friend who's brother committed suicide yesterday afternoon. I am so sad because I really feel sorry about the family left behind and the only reason was ... "his girlfriend".
Actually I still no idea right now about the whole story because I wasn't able to talk to my friend personally yet.
Is there a point that once you know something like situation, you'll ask why it happened? What pushed them to do this thing?

people commit suicide becoz of depression. They're upset over something. And i think its something they don't want to share with anyone else. In other words, its too personal. I admit i even was going to commit suicide but the only thing that stopped me was my religion which says commitng suicide is forbidden.

2.  spalladino (3368) | 3 months ago |  Many times people commit suicide because they are in so much pain that they can't take the thought of going on another day. The pain could be physical or emotional. People who suffer from depression are particularly at risk for suicide if something hurtful happens to them because they are already at a low point emotionally and it takes less to push them over the edge. I'm sorry for your friend's brother and for your friend and his family who have been left behind to deal with this.

 cbreeze (692) | 3 months ago |  Frustration is more likely to result in anger. Suicide doesn't make them cowardly, I think they are suffering real pain. And I think there are many more reasons people commit suicide than failed goals and aspirations.

Having been on suicide's doorstep, I can tell you it's all emotional: a sense of hopeless, that "no one" cares, that no one will miss me if I'm gone. Yes, I felt a failure, but it wasn't because of "high" aspirations; it was that my life as I knew it was falling apart because of divorce, and that, even though I felt as though I was the one who'd been wronged, everyone sympathized with my ex. I even got lectures from do-gooders at our church for leaving "such a wonderful man", and that I would go to hell for divorcing him.
People who commit or attempt to commit suicide need compassion and understanding, NOT sympathy, NOT more guilt. Nor should survivors feel any guilt for not recognizing the symptoms, because sometimes there are no symptoms. Also, we all have free will and if we want to do something, there's no one who'll be able to stop us. | |

| 4. evangsegun (24) | 3 months ago |  To be frank, i think alot of people that commit sucide, are people who think they don't have hope any more. i see no reason you to kill yourself becuz someone let you, you are not the first person that pass through that trial, alot of people have pass through that same situation and they get over it. so yours shouldn't be different. To avoid suicide u have to hope for the future.

Mentally they are probably too self absorbed in their own pain to consider the people that they leave behind. Sometimes they believe their lives are so worthless that everyone would be better off it they didn't exist. It is probably hard to reach someone when they've come to that point in their mind. Often the people close to them feel guilty and believe that they should have been able to do something to help, but I don't think it's that easy to help them. | |

Whenever despair gets hold of you there is a need to fight it and realise that tomorrow is not today and nothing in this life lasts forever including life itself.
Its not easy to do if you're in the grips of something you can't control.
Nevertheless thats how it is.

many of think that they are cowards...but they are really brave(!)....they are courageous enough to face death...then why cant they face life????
but at a depressed situation,their mind cant think about all of these things...they may not have shoulders to cry,share feelings...

Scorpionok (250) | 3 months ago | this maybe have a lot of reasons. when i was 14 one of my friends jump from the 9th floor. the reason some others friends more next him say is because of him family. they do not understand him and they are always fighting he was bad in school have lost his mom last year. a plenty of things happens.
the last year my friend's sister jump from d 4 floor because some hours before your husband died in a accident with a car. unhappy she was pregnant and lost the son. my friend is very sad untill now. whe he drunk he always "speak" with her=/ | |
