Iam so mad  | | In March of 2006 I lived in a basement apartment in Herndon and had for 2 weeks the Verizon FIOS (Fiber Optic Service).When I moved the new home did not have FIOS service available in that area.Therefore I got their DSL service.Then I am getting bills forwarded to me from the old address.I called Verizon and told them that my service is supposed to be turned off there.They appologized and said that it was going to be turned off over there now.Then the next month I got another bill.I called again and got the same response.I got bills for 4 months till they finally turned it off and gave me credit back for the months I was not there.Then a few months later I received a bill again saying that I owed for those 4 months!.I had to move again and was having my DSL transferred to my new home.When I called to do so I was told FIOS was available there,but they could not hook it up for 8 days after my move in date.I bought extra minutes for my cell phone to use in case of emegencies that I instead used calling Verizon.The tech came to hook me up and said that there was a problem with the wiring outside and that I could not be hooked up for FIOS.He said that I had to call the Verizon office and cancel my FIOS order and order DSL for me to use until they could get out to repair the outside wiring.I did and was refused to cancel when it could just be repaired.Then they refused to send out repair and said that I had to start my order all over and put a new deposit down.I asked where my deposit was and they said that they did not know.Four weeks ago I was told that I needed to return thoe boxes from before that they had no place for me tio return to.Then they would send out repair.They finally had a place for me to return the boxes and get credit for them.It took over 2 weeks for the billing office to actually give me credit for the boxes after I talked to about 10 people 4 different times.Everytime I call them,Iam on the phone for 2 to 4 hours and talk to several people,get hung up on.Then today I get connected to the person that can tell me where my previous deposit is and she won't talk to me,says that me knowing the number and my socail security number is not good enough.Ten minutes later someone calls me on my new cell phone number,that was just given to them today, and asks me to return my boxes that I have been given credit for.Has anyone else had problems like this from Verizon or any other company?

The only problem I am currently having with them is when I asked for a second phone line they gave me a number for it and then switched the number without telling me. I found out by hooking my computer phone line up to one phone and calling the my main phone and a different number coming up on the caller ID. Now when I am online I am constantly getting knocked off because people are calling this number. Yesterday we left the second phone line hooked up to the phone while we were gone to see how many people would call. Wow, when we got home there was a ton of numbers on the caller ID and some even left messages. Apparently we have someone's number for our second phone line. After I get the bill caught up I am calling them to change the number. That is a lot of drama you had to go through. Talk about jumping through hoops to get where you need to be, it sicks.

| | 2. slickcut (5119) | 3 months ago | I have had trouble with every ceel phone company i have ever dealt with..I have had trouble with Cingular(A T&T) Sprint and T-mobil..I have never dealt with Verizon but they are all the same..I dropped them all and got a prepay,its che3aper,no contracts,no hassle..I have had it one month and love it...

maehan (950) | 3 months ago | Hey slickcut, I agree totally with you. I had bad experience with AT & T for my land-line, cell phone and internet. When I first register with them, they get all the package mix up. They overcharge my bill and took almost a year to credit back. Hi dfolin, I think all the provider are almost the same:(

dfollin (1387) | 3 months ago | With Verizon their FIOS,landline and internet are seperate from their wireless.This was about the stuff for my house. The prepaid cell company gave me problems and when I had a contract with Nextel.I have now started cell with T Mobile and having the Fave 5 I have saved a lot of money from the prepaid cell phone.
