There is a question in my mind that I am very curious about.

I wonder if jewelry is still the style nowadays. I have never worn jewelry I don't know why. My Mom wore a small amount of it not much. I see people with a lot of jewelry on and others with not so much and than you have others like me that don't wear it at all. So tell me what you think? Do you think wearing jewelry is still the style now a days?

Jewelrey is always in style, depending ON the style. Some are of the opinion that less is more, if it is of good quality. Other's don't care what people think and wear what they want. Others, like you and me, don't wear much or any. For example, after the cat accidently removed one of my earrings, I am now wearing one earring. (By the way, it hurt to have it removed via cat claws.)
I sure hope it is still in style - I make jewelrey!

That is pretty cool that you make jewelry. You must be very creative. I think each person has to come to the conclussion of what works for them.

In my opinion, it would depend on the personality of the person if jewelry is still a style nowadays or not. It depends on the perosn, really. As for me, I am just not used of wearing jewelries. I only have my wedding ring and earrings.

Then you are like me. I just never got in the habit of wearing it and just don't wear it. I think it can enhance a persons outfit if it is worn properly.

I wear jewelries during special occassions only. And, it's very minimal.

It's up to you. It's not a matter of what is and is not in style, it's a mater o what works for you. I wear a bracelet on my left hand, and a couple of rings on each hand. That's it.

I have never been one to worry about style either in cloths or jewelry. I was wondering though what everyone else thought about whether jewelry was still in style or not. I guess that type of thing will always be left up to the person themselves.

Oh I see lots of people who wear tons of jewelry - don't think it's gone out at all. Me on the other hand have worn the same amount for years and years and years - simple necklace (small gold cross on thin gold chain), an amathist ring I've had for years (not sure why just fell in love with it when I saw it, also gold setting) and pair of pearl stud earnings I've had for 30 years.

I've missed being here and still not much at all but just need some 'connection' with the world. Still not feeling well, garden demanding a lot of my time, and 2 grandchildren I've been so concerned about are living with us for the time being - exhausting for me but so much better for them.
I think jewelry is totally open - just up to the person. I've worn a simple necklace and 1 or 2 small rings since I was a teen and added earrings when I was 20 and got my ears pearced.

Hi Faith,
I am so happy to see you hear. I have often wondered what was going on in your life. You are missed here.
I have never worn jewelry. Don't know why. Just haven't gotten in the habit of it. But I was wondering if it was the thing to wear now or just anybody's choice.

Absolutely still in style, bigger and bolder than ever. I make chain maille jewelry plus some beaded jewelry. I was selling it for a while, lots of big bold necklaces for men and women and I sold a whole lot of ankle bracelets. I wear a big copper chain maille anklet all the time. It's about 2 inches wide with a fancy closure. People are always asking me about it or commenting on it.
During band gigs my husband always wears one of my big chain necklaces and an earring I made just for him. He gets comments all the time on them.
He was just saying this morning that I should get a bunch more jewelry made up and take them to our gigs. He thinks I'll be able to sell quite a bit. I may just do that, I so love to make jewelry. The only thing holding me back is I have arthritis and it takes a real beating bending metal for hours at a time. But I may just go ahead and bite the bullet and do it anyway. We could use the money!

That is pretty cool that you make jewelry. It sounds like it would be a good money maker. It is hard when a person has arthritis.

In my family,All female member like my gradma,my mom,my sister,or my aunt...they all don't prefer wearing jewelry. So do i.My gradma just wear a pair of golden ring which acommpany with her since her marriage, maybe near 50 years.
I will feel uncomfortable if i wear some jewelry on me.I only have some earrings.
And there are many women and girls that wear jewelry now.I believe it depends on everyone's preference. And i think jewelry is still the style and will last a long time because women at all ages are all like beauty.

I think jewellery will always be in style, just the style of the jewellery will change. In the past nice jewellery has been expensive made of gold and diamonds, whereas nowadays it is fashionable to wear cheap plastic jewellery and other forms of "fashion" jewellery. I do wear jewellery. I like long dangle necklaces and ones with large pendants as a vocal point.
