has a relationship ever ended because of too much pride?

i know that some people that i know have ended relationships because one or both of them were way to prideful and wouldn't admit that they were wrong or that they were sorry because they were too stubborn and had way too much pride, but i don't think that i could honestly let someone go that i really cared about because i had too much pride...i mean i don't honestly think that i could do it...but i was just wondering about the rest of you...have you ever had too much pride to say that you were wrong or apologize or something like that...or are you the one that goes first usually if you are wrong and says im sorry...what are all of your thoughts on this? thanks for taking the time to read my discussion and i hope that you all have a great day!
