what happens when your family is all of a sudden breaking apart?  |

 The other day I recieved a call from my best friend. She had the worst news. Her and her husband were divorcing after 16 years of marriage. wow. These people were truly in love, they have two children, age 15 and 17, they attend church two times a week. I asked why, of course, and she blows me away with"He told me two weeks ago that he hasn't been happy in 3 years because he is sick of trying to do everything to make me happy and not being able to because I am clinicly depressed, which he has never believed is a true problem. wow.
I have been married for 24 years to the same man, so now I'm wondering the stupid geez, is he unhappy and just not telling me?. My friends husband was unhappy for three years without her knowing it and he just threw this "I want out thing on her" Only the thing is, she can't let go and they don't have enough money for him to move out, so he stays there, sleeps in her bed and continues to tell her that he doesn't want her. how difficult has that got to be? I couldn't deal with that. I would be losing it all the time.
Anyone out there going through this? have any advice on how to get threw this without hurting the kids so much.? He is being really aweful, saying now he has a girlfriend and my friend can't compair to her. geez, 16 years of marriage down the drain.

 freefogging (172) | 2 months ago | Well I have known this couple for many,many years. They are very christian people and I can't see them using there children. Right now they seem to be hurting each other on purpase,but that has to be inadvertantly hurting the children. My biggest hope is that they sit down and discuss this problem and decide that they love each other too much to divorce. I pray for them every day and I pray mostly for the kids. | |

2.  Marleysa (2783) | 3 months ago |  Things like this happens all the time..My own parents got divorced after a 26 year marriage and Dad remarried thrice already... It was a big blow to my "clinically depressed" Mom too. She got over the initial shock eventually and now years later actually says it was the best thing could ever happen to her. She doesn't suffer from depression anymore and has changed a lot, all for the better..so we are all glad, in a way, that he did what he did when he did it...:)

Maybe that's part of the reason he is leaving.He told her 3 weeks ago that he doesn't believe in depression and thinks it's just an act. So who knows? He definitly isn't sounding like the person my husband and I were friends with for years. I guess all I can do is give her a shoulder to cry on and pray for the family. I have put them on the prayer list at church,maybe that will help. | |

The family is the only thing which makes you smile even if you'r on your worst. Feeling that some one is there is the best in this life. Love from family is truelove.
