Today is our First Wedding Anniversary, but my husband and I have been together for almost 8 years now. We only got married last year because my annulment took four long years before the decision finally came down and approved. Anyway, since this is the first time to celebrate it as a married couple, we honestly don't have any ideas how and what else can we do aside from the usual things we did during the 7 years of living together. We want it to be different and more special and nothing we have done before. Do you have any great ideas? Not too extravagant,please... How did you celebrate your past anniversaries?

We dont celebrate our anniversaries in a big way,we have had many and the most have been quiet celebrations, where we have gone out together and just had a nice meal,or maybe just cooked something nice at home. The kids have sometimes been here for the milestone anniversaries, and we have enjoyed that too,but it doesnt matter what you do,as long as the two of you just enjoy yourselves.

Hi. We planned on going out just the two of us but then we thought of the same thing- bring the kids with us!!...It's not like we dont wanna spend the night alone but we would surely miss the kids and want them to share in this moment too..So, all four of us went to dine in the Floating Restaurant in the bay and ate to our hearts content and stomach too ..We had so much fun and laughed all dinner time.. Of course, we got to spend the night alone in the guest room, at last....when the kids are asleep in the other room... thanks ella...

am not married yet, but hope you dont mind me sharing my ideas..:) we'll am thinking you too can go somewhere romantic, yes, something like a date but go somewhere new..like beach or lake, and go picnic, or you can actually cook for him and you guys can do a little party with some friends, and after everyone will go home, you can have each other solo, and party on your own!:)

Unfortunately we were not in the same country on our wedding anniversary. He was working in AZ, and I had to go back to Canada. Now he has retired, and has moved up to Canada to be with me. This year however, we will be together for our second wedding anniversary. We are planning to spend a weekend in Montreal Quebec, visiting relatives, and just taking a vacation.

maybe prepare a special present for him will give him a big surpise, such as taking him to a special place at night where it is your first meeting place, light candles, play light music, and you two well-dressed to relive the original past little fond memories.
