Have you tried working for an answering service? How do you find it?

Last summer, I have tried working as an inbound agent for an answering service. I thought it was just easy. I was aghast when I saw the different type of keyboard with 164 keys on it. It took us less than 2 months for the training, while in the outbound account, my colleagues just took them 1 day for it. I find it very complicated and I decided not to continue with it anymore... Now I'm back into teaching. Just wondering if I am the only person who find an answering service job complicated.
