I didn't realized it at first. My friends just told me that I am an O.C person. So I asked them why they thought that I am an O.C?Here are their examples:
-if I go to a restaurant..I have a certain food that I always pick up.If we go to Mcdonalds I eat certain meals,at KFC..I only eat one meal,At pizza hut,I'll order the same toppings everytime and I don't want to try other flavors.
-if friends are at my place and they touch something or look at my things..after they touch it I'll make sure that it's place where I positioned it at home.
-if I asked for 3 ketchup packets..it should be 3 packets.
-the bedsheet should be neatly tucked under the bed...all the time
-i complaint if the bathroom door is left open
-i am scared to walk down the escalator if it's stationary..there are times that it's not moving right..if that's the case..I am afraid to go down and I'll have to look for the stairs instead of using the "not-moving-escalator"
I have a lot more.I actually checked the internet how to change this disorder..trying to change it.

Well there are people who may perform behaviors in a ritualistic way, repeating, checking, or washing things out of habit or concern. Generally this is done without much if any worry. What distinguishes OCD as a psychiatric disorder is that the experience of obsessions, and the performance of rituals, reaches such an intensity or frequency that it causes significant psychological distress and interferes in a significant way with psychosocial functioning. If you are not suffering from these extreme fears then I don't really think you are suffering from OCD. I could see no problem in eating same kind of meal if it happens to be really my favorite, if you are eating them because you love the taste and not because you are afraid the other meals will kill you for different reasons produce by your over-worried mind then you are not an OCD. If you are making your house tidy and everything in order then that is because you really are a well organized person and that is something to be proud about and not to worry about. If you have some fears with escalator then that is not a problem, it's normal for a person to look for anything safer for himself. So I hope I am not wrong, you are not an OCD. So CHEERS.

If I ask for a question something like, "Do you have a fish sauce?" and you'll be answered with, "Would you prefer a soy sauce?" Am I an OC person?
If I ask "What time did your class ends?" and you will be answered with, "I've been in the lab" or "We just finished our class" Am I an OC person?
I am. But I thought of the situation and the ones that you mentioned, you never really gave the meaning or description of an Obssessive Compulsive person. So I thought of my father who was strict with his rules and principles in life. Can we say that an OC person is like my father? KEEP SMILING = NEIL

Hi neil.;p
It's going be O.C. for your fish sauce example..if you can't eat without a fish sauce infront of you..that's being O.C. like me when I eat..I request for a soy sauce, chili and 3 calamansi(i don't know the english of this.lol...citrus?lol)..if one of my request is not served infront of me..I'll get disappointed and still would look for the calamansi or else look for other restaurant, bad girl.
Another example in my case would be if I'm at the office.just beside the cpu I have my coffee mug, mirror,my pen and my cellphone, they are in a position placed on my table. So if somebody borrows one of my things on the table and returned it and he/she did not placed it back to where it is placed originally on the table I'll get mad. crazy but true.So what I am going to do is that I'll put it back and arranged them in position. So my officemates know that when they get something from my things..they'll make sure that "if they get it beside my mouse..they'll return it beside my mouse".
O.C. is someone who is meticulous, perfectionistic, absorbed in a cause or fixated on something or someone. That's the simplest way to explain an obssessive compulsive person.
Thanks for the post.

ok. now, if they borrow your things, like stapler, puncher, etc. and if you are going to use it and it's not there. is it the same thing? i don't want to get back my things, i wanted them to return it after their finished using it. that mostly how i get irritated with my office mates here.

i know alot of people who are OC but just mild. an obsession s are ideas, images and impulses that run through the person's mind over and over again. A person with OCD doesn't want to have these thoughts and finds them disturbing, but he or she can't control them. Sometimes these thoughts just come once in a while and are only mildly annoying.Obsessive thoughts make people who have OCD feel nervous and afraid. They try to get rid of these feelings by performing certain behaviors according to "rules" that they make up for themselves. These behaviors are called compulsions. (Compulsive behaviors are sometimes also called rituals.) For example, a person who has OCD may have obsessive thoughts about germs. Because of these thoughts, the person may wash his or her hands repeatedly after using a public toilet.
