Headaches.....Migraines.. Do you get them?

Normally i know the triggers to my migraines but i got a headache yesterday evening and its 7 pm monday the 28th and i still have a lingering headache!! I tried to do some stuff here on mylot but i cant concentrate for anything. Ill be surprised if this turns out sounding right. i went grocery shopping today to see if gettng in the fresh air for a little bit would help, Nope! that didnt help.
I took 2 acetaminaphen(spelling) and nothing happened. i waited the correct time and took soem ibuprofen and still nothing. I didnt do anything out of the norm yesterday to cause me to get one last night so i have no idea where it came from. All i know is im suffering with one horribly today and thats why no one has seen anything from me. Maybe tomorrow will be better

I was diagnosed with migraines when i was 8 years old and have been dealing with them since.
i know they are more common now then when i first started getting them so i know there will be a few responses to this.
Do any of you suffer from migraines or occasional headaches? and what age were you when you were diagnosed with migraines?

since 8 years old, oh that is so young. i guess i've had migraines and didn't know. i just kept calling it a splitting headache and didn't want any sound around me. i would get them a lot after a hard day at work. but sometimes no reason at all. my sister informed my they were migraines cause she went to the doctor and was diagnosed herself for having them. it does interfere with living.

yup, since 8 they gave me medicine when i was younger to prevent me from getting them but ever since i got older i never had that medicine anymore. I wish i could get back on it, it really helped!

are you not allowed the meds now or other reasons you're off it?

When i turned 18 and was taken off my parents insurence i didnt have any insurence of my own and never got back on it. I dont think medicaid covers that type of stuff, i havent asked to be honest. i should check in to it one day.

I get headaches alot also...but I get them more often now since I have had my son. I also get migraines but only if I don't take something as soon as I get a headache. I think my allergies play a big role in it also. Do you drink enough caffine? I heard if you drink caffine when you think your getting a headache and an exerdine then it will go away. I think you should go see your doctor and get some meds for your migraines. There are prescriptions out there for it. Its better to take a pill before getting a migraine than to get it and be miserable and throwing up.
