my girlfriend had an irregular menstrual cycle so we decided to ho to her OB. i think she posted a discussion regarding thsi a few weeks ago. well the good thing is that she has medical coverage by the company she is currently working so everything was free - checkup, the ultrasound. and the result was actually good. no significat findings except for thickening fo the vein which was treatable by medicine. what a relief. well the doctor prescribed her 2 types of medicine, an antibiotic as well as a hormone drug that could eventually treat her. 21 pcs and 20 pcs correspondingly. we went to the nearest drugstore to purchase the medicines. the pharmasist ask me how many of the antibiotics we will purchased. well i look at her cash register and saw that the TOTAL PRICE was aoround 143 pesos(around 3-4$). but is still ask her out of curiosity how much is it per unit. the answer was - she pointed to her register and she told me that it was the unit price. wow. multiply that by 21 and that will be over than 2000pesos(more than 40$). ok so i asked how much does the other one cost. well at aeast it wasn't as expensive as the first one but actually ALMOST HALF of the first one. multiply that by 20. i ended up paying through credit card because it went almost 4000 pesos(around 95$). well at least my girlfiend will get better and that is the only thing that matters most. but i told her we could have bought a decent dvd palyer out of it. we laughed.. have a good day everyone. -NEILâ„¢

$40 isn't much for medicine. I have paid $100 for my sons medicine (for one generic medication) with health insurance! At least you didn't have to pay for the Dr visit.

well the total of the 2 medicine was around 95$. so it's almost 100$. but i guess you're right. not paying for the visit is quite a big help financially. thanks for the response. have a good day. -NEILâ„¢
