what are your favorite baby names?
why are they your favorites? do they hold special meaning to you, or are they simply names you've loved since childhood?
do you believe that a baby name is something that should be given a great deal of thought and decision, or are you more easy going on the subject and figure any name will do as long as it isn't totally out to lunch?
what do you think of some of the celebrity baby names out there? moon unit, jermajesty, apple, pilot inspektor, audio science...?

I have a lot of favorite baby names, although they weren't agreed to with my hubby. I do think naming a child should take some thought. I don't like crazy names, but I like not so common names. My son's name is Wesley and my daughter's name is Kaileyanne. To be honest I wanted her middle name to be her first name, which is Grace, my great grandmother's name, but again my hubby wasn't on board and I do believe that when two people have a baby they should BOTH agree on the name, that's only fair.
I'm also into the whole keeping names in the family if possible, even through middle names. My son is actually named after his 3rd great grandfather, which we didn't even know until we picked the name.
I think a name means a lot and should have a lot of thought put into it. Names also have meanings and I think that should be taken into consideration. I feel bad for these kids named "moon unit and jermajesty", how are them kids going to feel in school when the other kids are making fun of them.
Me and my hubby had a couple of rules when we picked the names for our kids:
1. no names that are used for males and females....we wanted people to know by their names if they were boys or girls.
2. no names that should be last names or that started off as last names
3. no names that we could make fun of in an obvious way without much effort, if that makes sense.

i seem to be quite the opposite of you in that i really, really like names that are unisex, and names that are normally last names.
for example, i like the name sydney, which is my daughter's name. this can be used for a boy or a girl, though the male spelling is usually sidney. i also just love the name logan for either a boy or a girl..though i would likely not use it on a girl of my own.
for last names as first names, i love kennedy. just adore it!
what i do not like is names that have the spelling change dramatically. for example, i saw a spelling of kennedy the other day as kenahdeigh. come on! that is just asking for confusion down the road! but, to each his own!
i really like kailey. wesley is a great name because it isn't very common, and it is also very handsome on a grown man. some of the trendy boy's names today sound a bit funny when you imagine them on an elderly man, in my opinion.

My favorite baby name is my own baby's name - it is Sophia. Her name means wisdom and this name really fits her as I believe that when she came into my life God has given me wisdom. She is such a blessing to me as since she came into my life blessings are continuously pouring on my way.
