how can i delete one email in a stack of them?

any one with gmail knows that they stack similar emails on top of each other if its like from the same poster or is a reply to something else etc.. well how can i maybe delete message 3 out of 10?? is there a way? i know whenever i hit delete it deletes the whole stack not just one and i really would like to be able to do this.. help

Are you talking about individual emails or a conversation/chat where you reply and then they reply back? It they are individual ones just hitting delete should do it, but it sounds more like is send,reply,reply back, etc. All based on the original one sent. If that is the case and you were the last one to reply then it doesn't matter if you delete the whole stack because if they reply to you they will all show up again. If you just want to keep one of them then it would be better to either pring that one only or copy/paste the text you want to keep into a word processing program and then delete the whole stack.

yeah the last example is what im talking about so i guess i will have to just cut and paste or save them all grrr.. i love gmail but its the stupidist flaw i have ever seen

no prob i am all typos most of the time lol.. and i swear my hair has been a lighter shade of blond all day because i have been a total ditz and i didnt even notice them lol
