That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done

regardless of the consequences-unknown I think this is the truest statement ever ... It's easy to do something when nothing is at stake but.. how many will really put themself out?

I think you are absolutely right. A few years ago when I heard my neighbour screaming, I didn't think at all. I just got up, ran out, pounded on his door, and when he came running out, I pulled him into my apartment, locked the door, and called the police. Seems some guy was about to stab him, and I got there just in the nick of time and saved his life.
