But the mother of my office mate before has to be hospitalized because of very strong flow that makes her feel very weak and she will collapsed, a lot of pain! http://womenshealth.about.com/cs/menopause/a/perimenopause.htm I hope this site will help you, I learned more today!

It usually starts when you are over fifty, but some of the effects can be felt much earlier, before the physical signs begin. If you start to feel very anxious, or you cry for no reason, those can be caused by onset of the menopause. You may seem very emotional, depressed and have difficulty making decisions. When you are in the full menopause you often get hot and sweaty, especially in the night time. Your periods may be lighter, heavier, irregular or quite normal during the change. It's different for every woman, so you should consult your doctor, and find out if your health service has a local clinic were you can go for advice and information.

Some women do have early menopause but it's quite unusual. I think there are many reasons for irregular periods and changes to your normal monthly experience. I think you doctor may be right, and it is sometimes caused by a change in diet or lifestyle. If it continues and you are worried I think you should go back to the doctor and ask for more advice or medication.

Menopause (as in "pause" or "stop") can start as early as the 30's, but is generally in the 50's. It is when a woman reaches the end of her child bearing years. It means that the hormones produced by the body slow down and/or stop being made by the body. A woman can have many reactions to this, but the best known are "hot flashes" when a woman suddenly becomes very hot, she starts sweating and flushes (turns red from the blood rushing to the skin to cool off.) They say these only last a few minutes, but since I've started experiencing them, they have been more like "hot hours!" A woman who has a hysterectomy can also experience all these because she has sugically lost the ablility to have children. The way they treat the reactions is by giving a low dose of the hormones, generally estrogen, but some women can't take them.

as what I know menopausal signs varies to all women. My mother doesn't have any problem with it. I have a friend who is suffering from hemorrhage as a sign of her menopausal stage. Another friend also, said she has hot flashes at night time and often hospitalize for a feeling she can;t understand. she just felt very tired and often collapse. and the doctor;s diagnosis is menopausal stage.. so then. it depends.. you don;t know it unless you are already there. Just keep on checking with you gyne..
