Dogs:What would you do if one came into your yard?  

I am glad that someone agrees that the neighbor was in the wrong,and I am not sure if there is a leash law where we live,but it might be something worth checking into,and that is refreshing to know that you would give them one warning,before calling to tell them to pick up their dead dog,and it sounds like your neighbor needs to fix their dang fence,and I hope it does come into your yard so you can pepper spray it because that might teach it to think twice before coming back,thanks for responding, have a great day,good luck in your life,and Happy Posting.

I am glad that you agree that the neighbor is in the wrong,and I agree she should have leashed her dog before walking it,I am sorry to hear that your dog bit someone else's dog,and I am glad that you have kept your dog leashed since,and that you paid for the medication of the other dog,and I agree the neighbor should be paying for the medical expenses of Cracker,and it makes me feel better to know that you would feel the same way,and that you would want to hurt the other dog if you ever saw it lurking around in your yard,and I think throwing stones is a good idea,and it might teach the other dog a lesson,so I might try that if I ever see the dog in our yard again,thanks for your well wishes,and it seems like Cracker is healing at a good rate and should be completely back to normal soon,thanks for responding my friend,have a great day, good luck in your life,and Happy Posting.

I am sorry to hear that where you live the neighborhood people just let their dogs run freely,but that is kind of cool that you have come to know most of the dogs that come in your yard by name,and I am sorry to hear that your dog got attacked but I am glad that he managed to fight the other dog off,I bet it was the scariest thing,as I know when our dog Cracker got attacked it was the scariest thing that has happened to me in a long time,and I agree sueing someone is a great idea,and I kind of wish we could sue the Hispanics who own the dog that attacked ours,have a great day,good luck in your life,and Happy Posting.

I am sorry to hear you are suffering from a similar problem with a doberman next door and it is not cool that he comes into your yard,and I can understand that you would be worried about your poor Scotties and I can understand that you would threaten him to get back in his yard,and I would not blame you for coming up out with a gun,I do not know why animal control would suggest an umbrella because that is kind of silly,and I agree there has to be a way to deal with people that are not respectful of others,I hope that you find a solution,thanks for responding,have a great day,good luck in your life,and Happy Posting.

I am a dog lover. Your story is sad and I hope that your unfortunate Chihuahua recovers and gets back to normal. If I had dogs I would try to make sure that it was safe for other dogs in the area, either by putting some kind of fence, otherwise I would not let my dogs roam freely in the yard. If I were you I would charge the dog’s owner for not keeping his dog on a leash and send him the vet's bills.

That is cool that you are a dog lover,and Cracker has recovered and he is doing good now,and now we take both chihuahuas out into the back yard and we make sure someone stays outside and watches them to make sure it does not happen again,we have not seen the other dog since the day of the attack,and I wanted to charge the dog with the vet bills,but there is no guarantee they would pay for them,and I am still keeping an eye out for that dog,thanks for responding,have a great day,good luck in your life,and Happy Posting my friend.

I am glad that you agree it was the fault of the neighbor,and they are very aware that we have two small chihuahuas,and she should have been very vigilant and kept her dog under control,and I am glad that you can understand me wanting to punish the other dog for what it has done,and we have not seen the dog since,so maybe they are afraid to walk it infront of our house anymore,and I agree if a dog does something bad it should be punished,and Cracker has fully recovered and is doing fine,and we now take them in the back yard,and someone always stays outside with them to make sure nothing like that ever happens again,thanks for responding,have a great day,good luck in your life,and Happy Posting my friend.
