Has anyone here seen this movie? I've always wanted to see it and I just saw yesterday that there is a part 2 coming out!
Thoughts?

I did see the movie. It was great and I just finished watching part 2. It was very similar to the book, with a lot of added scenes and information which made it very worth watching. I really enjoyed it and I think that it was probably even better than the first one. Like they say, with time and age comes grace and beauty. I really think this fits the second movie. I am really glad that I finally got the chance to see it even though it came out almost a year ago. Happy MyLotting.

Typical coming-of-age kinda movie. The usual struggle with teen angst and acceptance. Four friends share one pair of jeans, believing it to be magical since it can give you whatever you need. It could be courage to stand up to your absent father, or to follow your heart even if it means defying time-tested tradition.
Even if things got predictable (yeah, it all ends well), I found it to be highly enjoyable and family-friendly (staying indoors on a Saturday night requires a consensus on what should be allowed on for family viewing). ;)

I went to the library and when I saw this movie on the shelf I thought it was the divine secrets of the ya-ya sisterhood. I was wrong. I just noticed the difference today lol. When my daughter got home from school and had gotten all her homework done we sat down and watched the Sisterhood of the traveling pants. It was a really sweet movie. It was rated PG so I was kind of nervous about letting my kids watch it since they are only 7 & 3 but there was only a few times they swore in the movie. The F word wasent in the movie at all so lol that was ok. If it had that word then I would have turned it off and watched it by myself when they werent with me. The second movie says PG-13 and so I wont be allowing my kids to watch that with me.

I saw it shortly after it came out. I'm not a fan, but I guess it was a cute movie. It reminded me a lot of the YaYa Sisterhood movie, just for a younger audience. I don't think I'll see the sequel.
