In Loving Memory of my 1st son Ezra

This is the best but worst experience I have ever experienced. But if I could relive these 4 days I would just to hold him again. I only changed him twice, and that was right after he took his last breath and again when I was dressing him for his casket.
He fought hard to live for 4 days but he could only do so much.
I think it's even harder to be given the decision to end his life or keep going. But yet, they tell you if you keep him here, your only making him suffer more. So me and the father decided that until he shows he's ready to go then that will be the day.
That last day, I knew it was the day for some reason. A mother knows and I knew when I was being transported across the street to the Children's Mercy ICU (from TrumanMedicalCenter) that something was wrong with him even though I just left his side at 7am that morning. (shift change for nurses.ICU open 22 hrs everyday),
I still think of him. I still cry. I still love him & can not wait to see him again.
I love you son!..
