Drinking Straw: To use or not to use?

My Mom got me in the habit of using straws rather than just drinking out of the cup. It's alot more cleaner and less chance of getting germs when places don't wash their cups really well. Also as a kid, I loved blowing bubbles in my drinks with the straw :) [b]~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG AND TRUST IN GOD**[/b]

Once upon a time straws used to be made out of paper and so were biodegradable. I'd be asking your shop to see if they can get them again to help the environment. I admire your choice to stop using them. I just wrote to a few politicians asking that all plastic bags be manufactured biodegradable and to scrutinize the plastics industry more than is done presently. They don't seem to have any regulations and yet are one of the most toxic companies on the planet. Did you know the green and blue 'permanent' shopping bags that you can guy will never break down. So if people actually throw them away and they end up in land fill, they will remain on the landscape forever. Not Good

You really seem to be a nature conserver.. And the use of straw to have drinks depends on the person who has to use it.. Like you, you will never use a straw because you don't want to waste things and increase the garbage(that's seriously a great thing, as i'm also like you). The other kind of people are who like to show off a lot, so they just take the bottle and drink it in one go! Many kids like to drink from straw as they become excited in doing so, LOlz! I think it has become a mess about how i described about the "STRAW"..?!!??! But it really depends upon the person who has to drink!

Hi I dont use straws all that often , so it is all good I think kids enjoy them much more and they are easier on them when it comes to drinking . Now that I think about it the only time I now will use a straw is when I will have a milkshake , or out to drink , but never at home , ya know ? Anyway ! take care ! Happy Lotting
