money from home - yourmailmate.com??- legit? |
| |
| Well, as I mentioned awhile ago - was going to try and see about getting some extra dosh at home, so that we could pay off some bills, and save up to get the farm we need and the equipment to get our business actually moving. I signed up for yourmailmate.com, and it did seem genuine, correspondence was exchanged back and forth, any questions I had was answered. I was given an assignment - today August 4th and I would be given my log in info the night before. I checked in weekly in case there was some extra work here and there in the meantime. I got responses till about 3 weeks ago. Their website is still up. But at the moment its 10 am in the morning I was supposed to start at 9am. I have not received any log in stuff, etc. So I hate to think - as they really did seem legit, that it may possibly be a scam? I at one stage before I was given the assignment, offered to work for a lower rate, just so that I could have a steady pay cheque at home, so that I would be able to take kids to physio and ot, and speech and language as well as drive them to school. I'm a bit disappointed, but I will wait and see for a little while longer, but all I can say - yourmailmate.com, approach with caution. Stayed tuned - B | | | | | |

| | In all honesty if they asked you to pay, no matter how genuine it sounded - and it did- it's probably a scam. The rule of thumb is never work for someone who asks you to pay them. You don't pay your boss to let you work there. Try other sites, do you do writing? surveys? just google. You've got a lot to save for a farm, and trying to make the money fast just doesn't really happen. I hope you don't get scammed in the future, and have a wonderful and lovely dya. | | | | | | |

| | If you look at Yahoo Answers there is a whole bunch of us that were scammed by yourmailmate, don't feel too bad about it, The email contact was very good and consistent, however if you look at our postings you will find that we tracked them to Texas, USA, and there was other stuff as well. We are just trying to post everywhere at moment to warn people as web site is still up. | | | | | | |

| | I was scammed by mailmate. Joined last June and had quite a lot of e-mail contact to start off with but never recieved any work. The website seems to have been removed now which is good but i wonder how much these cowboys made. Is there anything that we can do about it? I have learnt a valuable lesson! | | | | | | |
