Packers to open competition between Rodgers and Favre

This is just ridiculous as far as I'm concerned. One of them will be gone most likely out of Green Bay. This situation is going to be a no win situation. I don't really like this too much and think Favre should have stayed retired if he announced it in the 1st place. Had he not said that, it probably wouldn't be that much of a big deal but that's just me.

An open competition is another way of saying Favre is the starter. There is no way Rodgers will look better than Favre. They would be better off trading Rodgers and getting Brett to play for a couple years while they get the new rookies ready. That is what Wolfe always did. Aaron Brooks, Ty Detmer, Mark Brunnell, why not Rodgers.
